GCDD#1 and GCWA started in December 2023 removing an old rail car pipe that spanned Cloud Bayou connecting the irrigation canal. We moved the irrigation canal berms back 150 foot each way to widen the Cloud Bayou and began to bury over 400 foot of 72” pipe under Cloud Bayou to reconnect the irrigation canal. This is just one step in improving the drainage for Cloud Bayou.
